The Major Arterial Rehabilitation Project is underway. Construction began mid-August and is anticipated to be complete in December. The project limits are along Carnelian Avenue and Vineyard Avenue at 8th Street and from Foothill Boulevard to Base Line Road. On Highland Avenue, the project limits are from Sapphire Street to Carnelian Street and from Amethyst Avenue to Archibald Avenue. The project includes full roadway rehabilitation, curb ramp improvements, traffic signal enhancements, and new pavement striping to extend the service life of our major arterial roadways.

What to Expect:
- Intermittent delays through the project limits.
- Reduced lanes and shifting traffic patterns during construction.
- Temporary closure of curb ramps and driveways.
- Occasional detours or alternate routes, especially near major intersections.
- Noise, vibration, and construction activity from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Access to driveways may be briefly limited at times.
NOTE: On Saturday, October 24 the intersection of Base Line Road and Carnelian Street will experience a fully closure. Follow posted detour signs and proceed with caution through the work zone.
NOTE: On 8th Street will be closed East/West from November 2 to November 16. Follow posted detour signs and proceed with caution through the work zone.
The 2026 Fall Pavement Rehabilitation Project is underway. Construction began in September and is anticipated to be complete in December. The project limits are along Fourth Street from N. Wineville Avenue/Santa Anita Avenue to Etiwanda Avenue. The project includes roadway rehabilitation, curb ramp improvements, and new pavement striping to extend the service life of roadway.
