Community Camera Registry Program

Your Cameras. Our Community. Safer Together.

The Rancho Cucamonga Police Department invites residents and business owners to participate in the Community Camera Registry Program—a voluntary initiative that helps officers identify locations of privately owned security cameras in the event of a nearby incident.

How it Works:

By registering your exterior-facing camera, you’re simply letting RCPD know your camera exists—and where it's located. If a crime occurs in your area, law enforcement personnel may contact you to request access to footage that could help with the investigation. You are never obligated to share footage and RCPD will not have live or remote access to your system. The program’s goal is to deter crime, enhance public safety and build a stronger community-police partnership in Rancho Cucamonga—all while protecting your privacy.

For residents, this is an opportunity to be a good neighbor and an extra set of eyes for your community. Whether your camera overlooks a street, driveway, or sidewalk, your footage could help protect others around you.

For business owners, camera registration adds an extra layer of security by partnering with law enforcement to deter theft, vandalism, and other crimes that can impact your operations and the surrounding business district.

Participation is quick, secure, and entirely optional.

Register today and be part of a safer #RCcommUNITY.
