The City of Rancho Cucamonga's RC Public Art Program is pleased to announce a Call for Artists for the Mini Mural Project. This initiative invites artists to design and install murals on designated cement directional markers along the Pacific Electric Trail. The project seeks to enrich public space through visually engaging works that celebrate the community’s cultural diversity and artistic vibrancy.

Identified through the RC Public Art community engagement process as a high-priority location for public art, the Pacific Electric Trail offers a unique opportunity to integrate creativity into a well-loved public corridor. Enhancing this active pathway with thoughtfully designed murals will support the City’s placemaking goals while fostering community pride, cultural expression, and a shared sense of identity.

The project will cover four (4) intersection locations:

  • Pacific Electric Trail @ Grove Avenue [one directional marker]
  • Pacific Electric Trail @ Amethyst Avenue [two directional markers]
  • Pacific Electric Trail @ Archibald Avenue [two directional markers]
  • Pacific Electric Trail @ Ramona Avenue [one directional marker]

This application is open to professional artists 18 years or older. Selected artists will receive a $1,500 stipend for each cement marker painted.

Artists must apply by October 23, 2025 11:59 p.m. (PDT)
