The award-winning Inland Valley Repertory Theatre brings the Disney classic musical to the Lewis Family Playhouse with an enchanting score, special effects, lavish costumes, and a 10-piece orchestra.

Come prepared with a resume, headshot and a song to share your best 24 measures. No tracks, accompanist provided. Please bring sheet music in the correct key. Singing from the show is welcomed Those auditioning for Mersisters and Mermans should come prepared to dance. All ethnicities are encouraged and welcome all those to audition for the characters they most identify with as we work for a more inclusive casting process. 

Rehearsals will begin in September with regular scheduled weekends and evenings. Tech week will have longer hours. Compensation for non-union adult performers will be based on $20 per hour and schedules will vary depending on rehearsal call. Minimum contract provided. Production cannot provide travel or housing. Teen roles available with scholarships awarded.

ARIEL: ROLE HAS BEEN CAST UNDER AN AEA CONTRACT. 

URSULA: ROLE HAS BEEN CAST UNDER AN AEA CONTRACT. 

SEBASTIAN: ROLE HAS BEEN CAST.

PRINCE ERIC: Character is male identifying, any ethnicity, 25-35. Tenor. A handsome, affable lad with a buoyant, adventurous nature. Excellent singer. Strong mover.

GRIMBSY: Character is male identifying, any ethnicity, 45-65. Baritone. Prince Eric's droll British guardian.

KING TRITON: Character is male identifying, any ethnicity, 45-60. Baritone. King of the Sea and Ariel's father. Possesses an imposing presence and commanding nature.     

FLOUNDER: Character is male identifying, any ethnicity, 18-25. Baritone. Strong mover and singer.

SCUTTLE: Character is any gender, any ethnicity, 20-40. Baritone. Funny, loudmouthed, optimistic, and a bit ignorant. Strong tap dancer. Strong singer. NOTE: Performer most not be afraid of heights. 

FLOTSAM & JETSAM: Characters are any gender, any ethnicity, 20-40. High Tenor and Baritone. Must be comfortable on heelys or willing to learn. 

CHEF LOUIS/CAPTAIN: Character is male identifying, any ethnicity, 35-50. High Baritone The French palace chef, diabolical and violent. Great comedic timing.

MERSISTERS: various females (18-30) any ethnicity and voice ranges. Must move well.

ENSEMBLE: Characters are any gender, any ethnicity, 20-40. Excellent dancers and should have strong contemporary musical theater voices. Diverse performers, will play a range of maids, gulls, princesses, lagoon animals, sea creatures, mersisters, chefs, sailors, and more. Teens to be considered for Ensemble, females to be considered for Mersisters and Ariel double. Men must tap.
