LinkedIn Learning

The Rancho Cucamonga Public Library is excited to introduce one of the most recent additions to our host of online resources, LinkedIn Learning. Funded through the California State Library/American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant, cardholders now have access to this free and robust resource that helps users develop and learn new skills on a wide variety of topics related to both personal and professional development.

Formerly known as Lynda.com, LinkedIn Learning is an online learning experience platform that features over 16,000 videos in seven different languages. Centered around an online community that engages members through personalized content and insights, LinkedIn Learning features courses taught by industry experts in software, creative, and business skills. Users can join learning groups and share and recommend courses; along with the ability to watch courses together, ask questions and share ideas with instructors, colleagues, and others who’ve taken the course.

The platform’s unique appeal is its scope of content that promotes education, growth and development on multiple levels. Users interested in learning for leisure can take courses on photography, playing an instrument, or learning to create art. Alternatively, users that wish to develop professional skills can take courses on leadership, management, productivity software, graphic design, marketing, data analysis and other career centered skills. Several LinkedIn learning courses also provide professional certification exam preparation, earn continuing education units and offer certificates of completion through strategic partnerships with several industry leading companies such as Adobe, Cisco, Microsoft and Google.

LinkedIn Learning can be an effective resource for community members that are looking to enhance their abilities and learn new skills.
