Healthy RC Safe Routes to School Program
The Healthy RC Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program is part of a national movement aimed at creating safe, accessible, and convenient opportunities for students—including those with disabilities—to walk, bike, and roll to school. The program brings together parents, students, teachers, school officials, City staff, public safety officers, and community members to identify safety concerns and encourage active transportation among youth.
New Digital Safe Routes to School Maps Coming Fall 2025!
As part of our ongoing commitment to student safety and active transportation, the City of Rancho Cucamonga is developing digital Safe Routes to School maps for 31 public elementary and middle schools. These updated maps will provide students and families with suggested routes that reflect current infrastructure and community input. This project will replace outdated 2007 and 2017 maps and place a special focus on reducing environmental disparities across the city. Each digital map will be tailored to local conditions and help guide students on safe, convenient paths to and from school.
